Work with me
Five ways to work together.
01
Sports & media deals
I've bought two football clubs and sold two. I co-own one now. I know what these assets are worth, what they cost to run, and which numbers in the deck are decoration.
What I do on a deal
- Sourcing — clubs, rights holders, media businesses and the companies around them
- Valuation reality check before anyone signs an LOI
- Structuring: earnouts, rollover equity, seller notes, who actually controls what
- Commercial diligence on the revenue that's supposed to survive the sale
- Sitting in the room when the terms get argued
Who it's for
Investors and operators moving into sport and media who want someone who has owned the thing, not modeled it. Sellers who want a read on their buyer.
Terms
Retainer, success fee, equity participation, or a combination. Structured to the deal.

02
Agency M&A — getting you out at the right number
I've built, run and sold three agencies. I buy them today. That means I know precisely what a buyer will pay for and what they'll discount to zero.
Sell-side, start to wire
- What your agency is worth today, and what's suppressing the number
- Twelve months of cleanup: client concentration, margin, contracts, key-person risk
- Positioning the story so a strategic buyer sees a platform, not a job
- Buyer list, outreach, and managing the process so you can still run the business
- Through diligence and to the wire without the deal re-trading in week nine
Who it's for
Owners of $3M–$30M agencies who want out in the next one to three years and have never sold anything before. Also founders who just want to know what they've got.
The hard part nobody warns you about
If 40% of your revenue is one client and the relationship is yours personally, the business isn't ready for market yet. Fixing that takes about a year — and it's the year that changes the price.
03
Agency diligence for brands
You're about to hand an agency seven figures a year. Or you already are, and nobody in your building can explain what changed. I read the scope, the staffing plan, the margin and the actual work, and give you a written verdict.
Before you sign
I sit in the finals, read every scope, and tell you which agency can actually staff what it just promised.
After you've signed
A full audit of an incumbent: hours billed against work delivered, and what the relationship should cost.
Terms
Fixed fee, three to four weeks. It usually pays for itself in the first renegotiation.
04
Interim CEO
Transition, turnaround, or the messy first year after an acquisition. I take the seat, make the calls a new permanent hire can't make in month one, and hand over a business worth running.
What I take on
- Full P&L ownership and a clear-eyed first-30-days read
- Cost structure, org design and the people calls nobody has made
- Client and revenue stabilization before anything else
- Board, investor and lender communication that doesn't need translating
- Recruit and hand over to the permanent CEO
Typical shape
Six to twelve months, full time or close to it. Cash plus equity or a performance structure tied to the handover.
Who it's for
Boards, PE sponsors and founders in marketing, media, agency or sports businesses where the seat is empty and the quarter isn't waiting.
05
Fractional CMO
Secondary to the rest of this, and deliberately so. But when marketing genuinely is the problem, I'll own the function and be accountable for the number.
- I own the marketing function and the number attached to it
- My team runs funnel, CAC, retention and analytics — specialists, not me with a spreadsheet
- Agency selection, scoping, negotiation and management
- Positioning and messaging that a sales team can actually use
- Monthly business review with you, quarterly material for your board
How this is different
I don't personally build your attribution model. I bring in people who do that all day, I direct them, and I'm the one who explains the result to you and your board.
Who it's not for
Companies looking for cheap execution. I don't run your ads or post your content. I hire and manage the people who do.
What this costs.
I don't publish rates, because none of this is standardized and I won't pretend it is. Here's the honest frame:
Deal work is retainer plus success fee, equity, or some combination — priced against what I'm carrying.
Sell-side agency work is a modest monthly through the preparation year and a fee at close. If I don't think you'll clear, I'll say so before you pay me anything.
Agency diligence is a fixed fee, small enough that it isn't a board decision.
Interim CEO is a market comp package for the seat, weighted toward the handover.
We'll cover numbers on the first call. I won't waste your time if we're not in the same universe.
Thirty minutes. No deck.
Tell me what you're trying to get done — a deal, an exit, an agency problem, an empty seat. I'll tell you what I'd do and whether I'm the right person to do it.
